Mr. Lumumba is an advocate of the High Court of Kenya and a commissioner for oaths. He has a strong academic and research background. He holds a Master of Laws (LL.M) in Regional Integration Law from the University of Dar es Salaam. He also holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law, and Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) degree from Kenyatta University, Kenya. As a legal practitioner with significant achievements in a range of advisory capacities, Mr. Lumumba is an expert when it comes to handling complex legal issues relating to policy formulation, public interest litigation, regional integration law among others.

So articulate and with a robust command of the law, Mr. Lumumba has tackled complicated matters in regional and international law disciplines on behalf of the firm’s clients. Mr. Lumumba has also acted as a legal consultant in the formulation and the drafting of the major policies and law for many sectors including the media, film and entertainment industry in Kenya. He is also an adjunct Law Lecturer at Kenyatta University, Kenya.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Lumumba worked at the National Legal Aid & Awareness Programme (NALEAP) under the then Ministry of Justice and Constitutional Affairs (MoJCA), the defunct Commission for the Implementation of the Constitution (CIC) and Okoth & Kiplagat Advocates. He is a member of the LawSociety of Kenya and the East Africa Law Society.
